Has anyone used The Shettles Method to conceive the gender you want?

Honestly my husband and I will be happy no matter what we have, I would be thrilled to have a little boy though. Then we’d have 1 girl and 1 boy. Anyhow, we are not TTC yet, but I am going to begin charting my BBT, CM, luteal phase, menstrual cycles, etc. so that I have an exact idea of when I ovulate.

So I am just curious whether anyone has used The Shettles Method before and been successful?
lol The Shettles Method:

According to the theory, male (Y) sperm are faster but more fragile than female (X) sperm. Further, acidic environments harm Y sperm, according to the theory, making conception of a girl more likely.

In order to have a boy insemination should occur as close as possible to the moment of ovulation so that the faster, Y-sperm arrive first and achieve conception, according to the theory. When seeking a girl insemination the couple should seek to have sex 2½ to 3 days before ovulation.

It’s not an exact science. You can definitely try, but having sex 2-3 days before ovulation can keep your chances of conceiving even lower.

I got pregnant the day of ovulation and did have a boy though. Although I know many many people who conceived on O day and had a girl.
